Wild Vs. Stars: Minnesota Look For Three Straight Wins As They Head To Dallas

The Minnesota Wild face the Dallas Stars on Friday, both trying to get important points for the playoff race as both teams surge on a two game winning streak.

The Minnesota Wild are an unimpressive 3-5-2 in their last ten games of NHL play, but are finally starting to trend upwards a bit with a two game winning streak. The Dallas Stars are 4-4-2 in their last ten and have a two game winning streak of their own, but are still frustratingly unable to untangle themselves from the mess that is the bottom of the Western Conference playoff picture.

Currently Dallas are tied with two other teams for the eighth spot in the conference and there's a whole mess of teams like the Wild and a bunch of others like the Colorado Avalanche nipping at their heels and hoping that their form doesn't improve much more than it already has.

The Wild are more desperate for points at this point, still riding that terrible losing streak that they faced themselves with in the past two months after a hot, hot start to the season that saw the Wild leading the NHL at one point. They'll have to work hard to get past the Stars in Dallas though, the Wild lost the other meeting the two teams had in Dallas 2-1 earlier in the season.

The game will be at the American Airlines Arena at 8:30 PM ET.
