VIDEO: Montreal's Ryan White Sucker Punches Minnesota's Stephane Veilleux

The Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens are in different conferences and play each other once or twice a year. With the way their games go, both teams play like bitter rivals.

After Ryan White and Stephane Veilleux needed only ten seconds into Thursday's game to drop the gloves, the bad blood continued later in the first period. White took offense to Veilleux slashing a Canadien and sucker punched him before the newly re-acquired Minnesota forward had a chance to drop the gloves.

Video after the jump.

White got a two minute major for instigating the fight, a five minute major for fighting and a ten minute misconduct. Veillieux, meanwhile, received a double minor for slashing. It is unknown whether or not Ryan White will receive a call from NHL director of player safety Brendan Shanahan but the CBC panel in Canada believed that it was worthy of a suspension.
