Minnesota Wild Free Agency 2012: Zach Parise Talks FA Process In Josh Rimer Interview

All eyes have been on Zach Parise so far in NHL free agency and there are a lot of potential signings that are waiting for him to finish his search for a new team.

Josh Rimer of NextSportStar.com got an exclusive interview with Parise on Tuesday and posted the video to Youtube, and it contains plenty of interesting tidbits about his search for a new team and how the free agency process has gone so far.

Some of the more interesting parts and things that Parise says are at the following timestamps:

3:52: Says he will not disclose information on what teams have approached him, but he does say that he has told some teams 'no'.

4:24: Says he has been speaking to the Devils often and is happy that Marty Brodeur and others are getting re-signed.

5:30: Says that he does not plan to have any more face to face interviews with teams.

7:18: Says he is keeping in touch with Ryan Suter and may like to play on the same team. (This is what the Minnesota Wild have been reportedly offering the two free agent stars.)

9:32: Talks about the prospects of coming to play in Minnesota.

One more thing to note about the video is that Parise said he would be spending the July 4 holiday with his family, so perhaps expecting a signing today will be asking too much. (Insert 'he could cause free agency fireworks' pun here.)
