Derrick Williams will look to repeat Friday's performance against the Chicago Bulls.

Both the Timberwolves and Bulls will hope to bounce back from losses on the second night of a back-to-back as Chicago travels to take on Minnesota at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be televised on NBA TV.

Derrick Williams had 25 points, six rebounds, three steals and a block on 9-of-19 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from the three-point line as a starter in Minnesota's 96-91 loss to the Pacers on Friday. Kevin Love played just 12 minutes and had six points and nine rebounds.

The Bulls are coming off an 86-83 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday in which they had a chance to tie or take the lead with eight seconds remaining but Nate Robinson missed a layup and Chicago's rally fell short. Kirk Hinrich led the Bulls with 14 points, eight assists, four rebounds and two blocks on 6-of-12 shooting from the field in the loss.

Both Minnesota and Chicago are 1-1 in the pre-season.

The Pacers outscored the Timberwolves by 12 points in the fourth quarter to come away with the victory.

The Minnesota Timberwolves blew a fourth-quarter lead in its preseason game against the Indiana Pacers on Friday night, falling 96-91 in Indianapolis. The outcomes of preseason games are obviously not the most important aspects of those games, but the fourth quarter was still a poor showing for many of Minnesota's backups.

Most of the Timberwolves' starters had solid games, though. Derrick Williams led the team with 25 points and also chipped in with six rebounds, three steals, two assists, a block and only two turnovers. Kevin Love contributed six points and nine rebounds in just 12 minutes, and newcomer Chase Budinger added 14 points and three boards in 26 minutes.

Williams led the Wolves in minutes with 38 as he continues to focus on playing small forward. Dante Cunningham was second in minutes with 32, scoring five points and grabbing eight rebounds to go along with six blocks. New signee Alexey Shved scored seven points in 20 minutes, but didn't tally an assist.

The Wolves will be back on the court on Saturday night when they host the Chicago Bulls at 7 p.m. CT.

Veteran guard Michael Redd turned down an non-guaranteed contract offer from the Minnesota Timberwolves this past weekend, a move which surprised the team, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN.

If Redd would have accepted the offer, he would have joined the Timberwolves for training camp without the promise of a regular season roster spot. The 33 year-old shooting guard will now test the free agent market for other offers.

Redd played in 51 games last season for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 15.1 minutes per game. He scored an average of 8.1 points per game while adding 1.5 rebounds. He scored a season-high 25 points against the Houston Rockets on March 18.

Redd became a true scoring threat for the Milwaukee Bucks after only one season in the NBA. Redd averaged more than 20 points per game from 2003-2004 to 2008-2009, only to have his career derailed by various injuries. In the past four seasons, Redd has only played in a total of 112 games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking into the possibility of bringing Michael Redd into training camp.

The Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly have an interest in bringing free agent shooting guard Michael Redd into camp, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN in Minnesota. Wolfson, though, says that Redd has not been receptive to Minnesota's overtures.

The Timberwolves spent much of the offseason attempting to rebuild a wing rotation that was one of the worst in basketball last year, adding players like Andrei Kirilenko, Brandon Roy, Chase Budinger and Alexey Shved. Redd is a one-time Olympian whose career was derailed in 2009 and 2010 after multiple knee injuries. He played for the Suns last season, averaging 8.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game just over 15 minutes per game. Redd was able to stay reasonably healthy, appearing in 51 games, but his shooting percentages were down considerably across the board from his career averages.

There has been no word whether Redd is considering retirement or if he's holding out for a more preferable situation or more money.
